Park Bo Gum : "It's Surprising That The Fans Have Been Cheering Me On Since My Debut (From an Interview)

Park Bo Gum, who had started taking steps as an actor, debuted in 2011 with the movie 'Blind' and had been radiating a fresh and cute charm through 'Detective Car' and the KBS2 drama 'Bridal Mask'.

He played the role of Go Young Joon, the youngest son of Yoon Bok Hee (Bae Jong Ok) in the SBS drama 'Wonderful Mama', and was loved by his sister fans as a childish character who can't hide his affair with his warm appearance.

Once a reporter asked him "Your name is unique. Is it your real name?"

Then Park Bo Gum said The letter Sword Sword (劍) is written in the letter Bo- bae Bo (寶). It means 'it will be used preciously when the time is right', and it was built by my parents. I've never seen a name like that, so it's my personal favourite.

After that reporter asked "In the drama 'Wonderful Mama', you played a character full of aegyo despite being young and having an affair. Is it similar to your real personality?"

Park Bo Gum replied "Well.. I have an older sister and an older brother, and I am the youngest, so there are some similarities in personality. But he wasn't a troublemaker, and it seems that he was a cute style that someone took care of a lot."

Then reporter asked "I think the feeling of being challenged in a soap opera for the first time is also unique."

Park Bo Gum said "It was the first time I learned that 'TV dramas are like this'. I think it was a learning process that taught me the overall shooting, such as set shooting, bust shot, full shot, and close-up. I feel like I've been in class for 6 months. It is also very fortunate that I got to know good people like Ji Seok hyung and Bae Jong Ok senior.

Park Bo Gum said "When I was filming the scene where I was reading a letter I wrote to my mother (Bae Jong Ok) in the play, I felt like I was going to burst into tears. Perhaps the part that Bae Jong Ok sunbaenim took care of as well as the real mother on the set also played a part."

Park Bo Gum replied "I felt the joy of acting for the first time while appearing in my first work, 'Blind'. There was a scene in the play where I called my older sister, Kim Ha Neul, and I think I'm acting because of that heart-pounding feeling. It was the same in 'Wonderful Mama'. In the scene expressing the affectionate feeling, I was more immersed in the face of heartbreaking and touching emotions. It seems to be a process that is starting to feel a little fun now."

Reporter asked "I heard that you didn't want to be an actor from the beginning."

Park Bo Gum said "When I was young, my dream was to be a singer. When I was in my sophomore year in high school, I thought that I should pursue my dream in earnest, so I made a video of me singing while playing the piano, uploaded it to the internet and sent it to the agency, but Sidus HQ was the one who contacted me. While receiving training, I was offered an offer to be an actor rather than a singer, so I turned around."

Then reporter questioned "Do you have any regrets about trying to become a singer?"

Park Bo Gum's reply was "Not at all. I think I can make my own opportunities to participate in OSTs or sing while working as an actor. After that, I am determined to continue studying composition. In fact, even in 'Wonderful Mama', in the wedding scene in the play, he played the piano and sang a scene. It was a filming that I applied to do it in a difficult situation when the person who was going to be an accompanist was doing a funk, and I was proud of being praised by the director."

I want to try the role of a man who is the opposite of Yeongjun in 'Wonderful Mama'. He has a desire for a role full of masculinity who also enjoys drinking and dancing. And um... I often hear that I resemble Jo In Seong, but if I get a chance, I want to try a child role."
